Most of us recognize Waco, Texas, as home to one of the largest and most famous food markets in the world. People flock to this growing central Texas city every year to experience the Gaines empire, home to the world's best food empire.

Whether you're looking for something to do that night or just to celebrate a night with the kids, here are some great ideas for date night. I am pleased to share with you some other family-friendly activities we have done in Waco. Get your Magnolia Market with a visit to one of the city's most popular markets, such as the Old Town Market or South Side Market, or a visit to the Texas Museum of Natural History.

All of these ideas for a date in the city center are within walking distance of other Waco attractions, making it the perfect place to enjoy the evening together. Take a stroll around the Old Town Market or South Side Market, or spend your evening in the heart of the WACO listening to live music and sipping hot or cold drinks. If you want to do something for the evening, start your date night with a visit to one of the many restaurants, bars and shops in the city.

We will take you to Spare Time Texas, where you can play bowls, laser tag, eat in the restaurant, try your hand at arcade games, play bowls and mini golf or even have dinner and drinks. In Putters in Waco, you can enjoy the day feeding the ducks or attending one of the many festivals and events in town. This is a picture-perfect park in the heart of WACO, Texas, with a variety of activities for all ages, including a swimming area, and is within walking distance of many other attractions including the Old Town Market and South Side Market. Nearby there are many restaurants, bars, shops and restaurants as well as a number of golf and bowling courses.

While the Highland Lounge in downtown Austin can be quite clubby at night, be careful here, as it's not for the faint of heart. There are also a number of other bars and restaurants in Waco that are also more frequented by the over-40s than the young downtown clubs. If you want something more comfortable and relaxed, you can always have a nightcap in one of the many restaurants and bars in the city.

Austin has more gay bars and restaurants than you'd think, and not just any old gay bar. Most of Austin's gay bars and eateries are much more upscale than their direct counterparts, but Austin has some of the country's most popular gay restaurants and a number of gay-friendly bars.

Common Grounds offers dozens of creative drinks, including coffee and sodas created in homage to the Waco area, as well as a variety of food and beverages. In addition to a number of breweries and distilleries (including Austin's own Austin Brewing Co. and Texas Brewing Company), WACO has also reduced its share of craft beer and wine from breweries like Blue Moon, Red Rock and more to local craft beers from local breweries like Red Rocks and Red River.

If you're in Waco on a Saturday, one of the best places to shop and eat is the WACO Downtown Farmers Market. Take organic produce home, and if you're in Waco for more than a day, you should eat at the Baked Baking Company bakery, a local bakery and cafe, and a variety of other local restaurants.
